  1. TEACHING AND LEARNING CENTER (TLC) AND OFFICE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (OIT) FACULTY ONLINE TRAINING WORKSHOP – JULY 2020

During the period from Wednesday July 15, 2020, for a total of 3 weeks, the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) in collaboration with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) held Moodle online training as well as Computer Technology training for all  UL faculty and staff members using both face-to-face and Zoom webinars procedures.  The objective of this workshop was to begin the training of UL Faculty and Staff in all aspects of Online teaching and learning to introduce a premier UL Online Teaching and Learning curriculum for the second semester of the 2019-2020 academic year.

This initiative was made imperative at the University of Liberia due to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) that engulfed the entire world beginning in January of 2020 thus forcing the University of Liberia to hold all second semester 2019-2020 classes online instead of the usual face-to-face procedure. We also had Zoom webinar Moodle and Computer Application training for our faculty members using the professional help of two UL Faculty members on study leave in the USA in name of Mr. Collins Vaye and Dr. Sake Golafale as well as four contract Moodle workers hired by the TLC in name of Mr. Prince Fully, Mr. Christian Weah, Mr. Dennis Nimely and Mr. Foeday Zinnah. The face-to-face portions of the workshops were held on the Capital Hill UL campus, the Fendall UL Campus, the Straz-Sinje UL Campus, and the Health Sciences UL Campus.
